When on our longer or weekend trips, Zara carries a number of things to make the experience more enjoyable: a paddle board, kayak, 3.2m dinghy with electric outboard, lobster/crab pots to try and catch lunch, gas barbeque, multiple fishing rods and the relevant gear. There is a hammock for warm evenings on deck. Snorkeling gear is also available, but please bring your own wetsuits!

Zara has a fully equipped galley and fridge + freezer. There is a portable gas barbeque for use on the beach. If on a longer passage, Pete will usually pre-prep lunches or dinner to ensure food is available when needed, without having to prepare it underway.

Your safety is our priority. As with all coded boats, to ensure compliance with the MCA, Zara has multiple safety systems. This includes gas alarms, commercially endorsed life jackets, safety tethers, an offshore liferaft, search lights, flares and other methods of contacting the coastguard and emergency services. All professionals onboard have full RYA first aid training. Pete is also Remote Emergency Care trained, which while not sailing specific, is useful for more advanced care if required.

All of Zara’s cabins are doubles. The 2 stern cabins are essentially king size, with the 2 forward cabins being standard doubles.
Unlike some of the more modern designs, the 2 forward cabins have walk-past corridors, with the head/shower space all the way forward.

This model doesn’t have a separate Skippers cabin – the space at the bow is used for extra sails, lobster pots, paddle board, dinghy and kayaks. So Pete and his 1st mate will be using one of the cabins. There is a hammock for the deck on warm nights.
